Introduction-
India Gate situated in the heart of New Delhi is also known as Amar Jawan Jyoti (“The Flame of the Immortal Soldier”).
On every 26 January India Gate stands for parade of Indian Army.
Main reason to construct the India Gate is in the remembrance of the Indian soldier who died in the 1st World War and the also in Afghans Wars and there are also many other war which it is stand for like Sikhs War Burmese War.
Total number of soldier 90000 who were take the part in the 1st World War and Afghan War and also additional name who have make sacrifices for the india.
Architecture and Structural Description-
Stone is used Red Bhartpur stone in India Gate. It was designed by famous architecture Sir Edwin Lutyens. Its height is 42 meter. India Gate was previously known as the "All India War Memorial" and is India's largest war memorial.
